The Government of the Republic of Armenia made us an announcement that it made a donation of 500,000 US dollars (approximately 40 million yen) via the Japanese Red Cross Society regarding the Great East Japan Earthquake.
We have also received letters and messages of sympathy and condolences from H.E. Mr.Serzh SARGSYAN, President of the Republic of Armenia, H.E. Mr. Tigran SARGSYAN, Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, H.E. Mr. Edward NALBANDIAN, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia and many others. On Wednesday, May 4, Requiem Service and a Musical Tribute in Memory of the victims of Japan was held in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia, with the participation of Armenian leadership (Mr. Hisashi TOKUNAGA, Parliamentary Vice- Minister for Foreign Affairs, attended the event.)
